Have you ever had to defend your beliefs, your religious faith, your 'philosophy of life' or the creed or norms by which you live? It is a fact that most people do not think too much about such a serious matter.

It is also a fact that the Bible tell us to always be ready to give an answer for whatever we hold true.

"But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect." (1Peter 3:15)

Some Christians believe that faith is a personal matter that should be kept to oneself. It is true that we shouldn't be boisterous or obnoxious in sharing our faith, but we should always be ready to give an answer, gently and respectfully, when asked about our faith, our lifestyle. or our Christian perspective.

During my life, I have come across different religious teachers. The subject of my faith came out in conversation. I was asked to explain what I believe about God, His Word and what is truth. I had to be on my toes, as we say, and carefully give biblical evidence to explain what I believe about Christianity, the nature of God and Jesus Christ. Some of their minds classify me as a heretic. But I think I held my own in the explanations and solid answers.

Many other times I have had to answer challenges to my faith to other different religious people as well. Religious truth must be defended every single day. We are called upon to stay faithful to the Word of God and not deny His name. It is what a disciple of Jesus must do in today's secular climate.

It is obvious that these highly and intelligent religious teachers or some of the different faith followers did not reverse their long-held beliefs through my explanations. But I wonder if my ability to explain myself with conviction may have placed a few seeds in their minds - a seed saying the following: "Perhaps I should examine what I believe compared with what the Bible says." I do not know.

I will leave that to God as He is the One who works with each of us according to His eternal purpose.

Christians should be able to explain their beliefs, supported by the Bible. Our personal conviction of faith and a belief in God is important to having faith in a time of trial. We are all aware of the challenges facing us in life right now. Now, more than ever, a strong and firm biblical faith is critical to success and peace of mind.

The world is facing a serious revolution. Large and growing numbers of adolescents identify with LGBTQ. Many schools are programming preteens to believe they can choose to be a boy or a girl. It is a fact that society is in a satanic battle against God Himself, marriage, the family, the natural order as God designed us and God's plan for mankind. As I wrote previously in another blog, this battle is already in our homes.
