Growing State Tyranny. Foretaste of the End Time?

It is a fact that personal rights were trampled. Everywhere in the world restrictions were imposed but in Europe they were especially severe. Germany instituted some of the world's strictest entry policies, proof was required of negative Covid-19 tests as well as severe quarantine rules. In Austria legislation was passed which required unvaccinated citizens not only to pay fines but facing the risk of losing their jobs as well.

Throughout Europe, different countries put in place vaccine passports and if you didn't have one you wouldn't be able to travel or stay in paid accommodation.

It didn't take much time for Eastern governments to follow suit and join the frenzy.

So much for the world's consideration of Australia as an example of personal freedom after the Australian government established "quarantine facilities" all over the country which turned into "hell" if the unvaccinated travellers were found "unclean" or "non-compliant".

Same happened in New Zealand. They implemented very harsh measures. Those refusing to follow onerous orders have faced stiff fines amounting to thousands of dollars. Not only the workers but was extended to businesses as well. They would face the heavy hand of the government with forced penalties like driver's licence suspended, property seized or denied passports for overseas travel. All this being recorded officially which affected the people's ability to get loans or any form of credit.

With modern technology, governments even used personal cell phones to track the movements of its owners to make sure that the population adhered to travel and distance regulations.

These policies and regulations were use with the excuse of being right for the best of the country. The message was loud and clear: the government knew what was best for you with no acknowledgment at all of the gross invasion of personal freedom and privacy.

The normal activity needed for everyday life was prevented by these measures.

It is of no wonder that all of these measures led to the fears of the rise of "the mark of the Beast" foretold in the book of Revelation: "He also forced everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead, so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name." (Revelation 13:16-17).

Population control through some kind of technological enforcement. While evidently figurative this mark of the beast is designed to mock the seal that God places on His followers. Just as God marks His people to save them, so Satan's beast marks his people to save them from the persecution that Satan will inflict upon God's followers.

In every generation Christians need to maintain a healthy scepticism about society's pleasures and rewards. In our educational, economic, and civic structures, there are incentives and rewards. Stan's system or structure described here becomes so evil that there is no way to cooperate with it.

Throughout the world, after all this control enforced by the governments, freedom-loving citizens have said and shown that they have had enough.

Protests in different countries ad continents gathered worldwide attention.

In some countries these protests were responded with government draconian powers intended only for wartime or other severe national emergencies. In clear violation of the intent of the legislation, governments led by their presidents had protestors arrested and ordered banks to freeze financial assets of those taking part in the otherwise peaceful protests. Participants cited a variety of personal reasons for joining these mass protests. "It's not even about a vaccine at this point. To me, it's simply about control, and it seems to me that they don't want to let that control go," individuals were saying. (to be continued)
