(part 2)
In any way I want to spoil your day or to be morbid. The last thing that you want is to be reminded of what is for most a very depressing thought but we cannot treat it lightly because death is certain. It is a fact that we all will die. Simply avoiding the subject will not make it go away. Then what? Many will dispute what happens after death but what I am sure of is that we will either live again or we will not. There is no middle ground here. Why is then so difficult to explore the most important question of all?
For those who believe in evolution and that there is a creation without a Creator the answer is bleak for the simple reason that in the process of evolution how could life after death evolve? How is this afterlife made possible without a Creator or a Higher Power to bring it about? In fact, that conclusion is also true for those who are nominally religious. Faith in God, in today's world, is weak and to face it is unsettling.
However, if there is a Creator, a Higher Power that created us, life after death might just be possible even if it doesn't guarantee that we might live again. At least it does open the possibility. After all, if we were created by a Creator, couldn't that Creator create us again?
It is obvious that life after death is not a subject for Science or even Philosophy. It is a subject that can only be answered in the realm of religion, which becomes more difficult because religions do not all agree on this subject.
There are many diverse theories, such as that we have an immortal soul that lives on after death, either is a devious inflicted pain in an ever burning hell or in a heavenly bliss. One must not forget that heaven and hell are also different in many different religions. Some create this idea that heaven is the abode of God, the angels and the spirits of the righteous after death; others say that it is the state of existence of the blessed after mortal life; according to others, It is the sky, the firmament the expanse of space that seems to be over the earth like a dome; others speak of 'getting our wings' and sitting on clouds playing harps; still others think we came back as a higher or lower creature - reincarnation, also called transmigration of souls.
I can add that it is not what most people think. Instead of holding onto human devised traditions as taught throughout generations by our parents or most religions. It is obvious and clear that there is no unanimity in the religious teachings of man.
