Our faces are a wonderful part of creation.
In the Bible we read many notes about rejoicing and being happy.
As we walk through life we make a lot of choices. Every minute of every day we choose one thing or another. Ultimately, our choices make up the pieces that form the complete picture of our lives. Let's try, then, to be happy and optimistic. Happiness comes from within, regardless of our situation. As humans we tend to choose what's good. Sometimes we do make bad choices and choose something that is not good for us. But, by and large, we choose what's good. And when we do this we are eliminating the option to get what's best. You see, when we let God order our steps and make choices for us, we don't get what's good. We get what's best.
So, let's choose to see the good things in life and work on having an optimistic outlook.
We speak loudly by the way we frown or smile. George Eliot once said, “Wear a smile and have friends; wear a scowl and have wrinkles.” We all know that smiles also wrinkle our faces in time, but somehow the wrinkles from smiles make us look much more pleasant and attractive than wrinkles from frowns and scowls. We have the ability to choose how we react to life. We can fill our minds with happy thoughts or become dissatisfied about everything. What a great loss of life it is to be a negative person all the time. In the Bible we read many notes about rejoicing and being happy. Ecclesiastes 11:9-10, admonishes us to rejoice in our youth and let our hearts cheer us. We are told to put away sorrow. That is a frame of mind. We cannot let ourselves become giddy and foolish. We also read that there is a time to laugh and a time to cry, but we should focus on going after and do the things we enjoy!!!
